Best Christmas Present EVER:

Introducing Kahlil Bayani de Leon Deocampo, born December 17, 2007 at 2:14pm at 7lbs, 3 oz.

It's been a long 9 month journey but my little bundle of joy is finally here! I've been out of the blog loop because the delivery was somewhat of a scary time for my fiance and I: I had to go under an emergency C-Section because Kahlil was in fetal distress and had to come out immediately. Unbeknownst to us, he was in posterior position (meaning facing up, not sideways as in normal birth) so it caused me and the baby a lot of pain. Every time I went into a contraction, his heart rate dropped suddenly from 150 bpm to 70. Our doctor decided to do a crash cesarean, and since I was heavily medicated at the time, Bam was left to view all the commotion in the hospital around me without much explanation or consolation. At the same time, my blood pressure was fluctuating as well, leaving him to think of only the worst in the long minutes before he was finally pulled in to the surgery room. Needless to say, at 2:14, out came a healthy baby boy with 20 fingers and toes and more perfect than we could have ever imagined. A week and one day later, I'm recovering quickly and my son is getting cuter and fatter by the minute.

Thank you to everyone who has been checking in on me and my family. The blog may be a little slow for the holidays, but come 2008, Guerilla Busfare got a lot more in store for you, I promise. Hope your holidays are going well, and blessings to all my faithful readers.

Found this while looking for crib sets for the baby...

...actually my girl Lea found it and we both became seriously disturbed. It's a site for ADULT baby furniture.

Ick.

CELEB X HOLLYWOOD HOTEL = UNTIMELY DEATH

Pimp C, real name Chad Butler -- and one half of the rap duo UGK, was found dead in a hotel room this morning. He was 33.

L.A. County Fire responded to a 911 call at the Mondrian Hotel, located on trendy Sunset Strip in Hollywood. They arrived to his sixth floor hotel room to find him dead in bed.

UGK is best known for appearing on the Jay-Z track "Big Pimpin'" in 2000, and more recently with Outkast on the song "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You)." Pimp C had just performed with fellow rapper Too Short at the "House of Blues" in L.A. on Saturday night. - TMZ

I wonder if it's because of his recent bigmouth rants in Ozone Magazine or his past liasons with drugs. I mean, he did say he has "Bobby by the Pound" and "Whitney by the key". Regardless, my condolences go out to his family...another loss in the Hip-Hop world.

Bay Area Legend in Critical Condition

Legendary Bay Area rapper Spice 1 was shot in Hayward, California during the early morning hours of Monday (December 3), but details regarding the incident are sketchy.

The rapper's manager, Six, confirmed the shooting to BallerStatus.com, but said despite rumors, Spice is still alive and in critical condition at an unspecified hospital.

Props when Props is DUE

I would love love love to collab with Kid Sister someday.

(But does she really go out with A-Trak? I met him once, and he was kind of a douche.)
